Vito Lucido is the Manager of Independent Living Services at Delta Center where he oversees delivery of services to support consumers in living independently. In addition, he advocates for quality, affordable, accessible housing, as well as public transportation. He serves as chair of the St. Charles County Housing Team and the Eastern Missouri Transportation Coordinating Council that led to the creation of MO Rides. Due to his spinal cord injury and disability acquired in 1983, Vito has a keen understanding of the needs of people with disabilities, especially those with physical disabilities and mobility issues. He worked in broadcasting for 10 years, first at KWMU-FM and then at WSIE-FM. He followed this by serving as the Director of the St. Louis Wheelchair Athletic Association, and he is the co-founder of the Missouri Disabled Water Ski Association. Vito is a graduate of the University of Missouri – St. Louis with post-graduate work at both Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and at UM St. Louis.
