It’s no secret that durable medical equipment (DME) is expensive on its own, and even with insurance like Medicare, it can be challenging to get what you need when you need it.
That’s why Delta Center offers the equipment exchange program.
Free, used medical equipment
At Delta Center, we help low-income, qualified disabled adults in St. Charles, Lincoln, Warren, and St. Louis Counties or St. Louis City get durable medical equipment at no cost. In doing so, they can remain independent and in their own homes. We can provide this service thanks to the generosity of individuals who donate the equipment they no longer need.
The equipment we offer includes, but isn’t limited to:
- Raised toilet seats
- Wheelchairs
- Bed safety rails
- Grab bars
- Canes and other walking devices
- Lifts
We also have supplies like incontinence briefs for those who need them.
You don’t have to give equipment to get equipment
Even though it’s an exchange program, you don’t have to give equipment to get it! We offer this service to everyone who needs it, with no strings attached.
You can keep the equipment for as long as you need
When you receive equipment from our equipment exchange program, you keep it for as long as you need. We only ask that the equipment be returned when it’s not required anymore so it can be shared with others in need.
Delta Center accepts donations of durable medical equipment
If you have durable medical equipment that you purchased and no longer need but don’t know what to do with, we will gladly take them! Upon intake, we consistently inspect the equipment for any damage and ensure that it’s safe to use. Only then do we distribute the equipment to those in need.
Arrangements can be made for pick up or drop off of donations by calling 636-926-8761 and asking for Jennifer at extension 225.
