This is why we began the medical Equipment Exchange Program—a program that provides loans of essential medical equipment to individuals with disabilities. But what is unique about our medical equipment exchange program? How can it make a difference in your life? Enhanced Mobility and Freedom
One of the primary ways through which adults with disabilities gain independence is through mobility. When you are able to move without difficulty through your home, community, and other spaces, you gain an immense amount of choice and freedom. Our program is proudly able to offer a number of high-quality mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and more to help you get moving, engage in activities that bring you joy, and spend more time in your community.
Customized Care
We understand that not everyone has the same equipment needs, and that not all the same equipment will help individuals with the same concerns. This is why we find out exactly what would best benefit you and work to make sure you receive it. For example, if you are in need of a wheelchair but also have trouble with upper body mobility, a traditional, manual wheelchair may not be the best fit for you. Our tailored approach sees each and every client for their unique needs, helping to match you with the equipment that will best support you in your independence. If we do not currently have a piece of equipment that you need available, we will add it to our needs list, and notify you the moment it becomes available.
Improved Home Safety and Support
For many individuals, living independently in their home can raise concerns regarding their safety. Whether you have had your disabilities for many years and want to live independently, or you are recently disabled and in need of home support in order to be released from the hospital, having the right home medical equipment can greatly improve your safety and enhance your independence. 
Home medical equipment can include lifts, grab bars for the bedroom or bathroom, tub transfer benches, toilet risers and safety rails, and much more. For many individuals who are newly disabled and in the hospital, having this kind of equipment may be required in order for you to be discharged and brought home. With this kind of equipment at home, you will be less likely to have injuries or falls, allowing you to feel more secure and capable of going about your day confidently.
Independence without the Cost
One of the biggest obstacles for individuals needing medical equipment is the cost. Quality equipment, even used, can go for hundreds if not thousands of dollars, and even renting can set you back quite a bit. Our program strives to eliminate that barrier, making this equipment accessible to those who would otherwise have great difficulty getting it. With this equipment available to you without the cost, you can instead focus on other aspects of your life and autonomy, not worry about your safety or mobility. Your income should never have to prevent you from living independently as an individual with disabilities, and with our exchange program, it does not have to.
