Our Full Offering of independent Living Services

As a Center for Independent Living, Delta Center provides the same “core” services that all other Centers offer.  We like to think of them as opportunities to “coach” you through life’s challenges.  We serve St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties; and also provide consumer-directed services in St. Louis City and County.

Information and Referral –  We will connect you to a large variety of community-based resources to address the challenges you are facing.  We break down the solution into small, workable steps to help you through a difficult time and plan for the future.

Advocacy – We will teach you the skills to become an effective self-advocate.  Whether it is with elected officials on issues affecting all people with disabilities or a small matter specific to you, Delta Center will be there to give you guidance and empower you to have a strong voice.

Peer Support – Delta Center will connect you to individuals who have similar disabilities.  Often, connecting with another person who faces similar challenges to your own, offers a unique way to solve problems together.  You may end up helping another person as much as they help you! Our Endeavor Program is a great example of peer support that you’ll receive at Delta Center.  

Skills Training – We can coach you to become better with managing your finances, planning a menu for healthy eating and many other skills necessary to help you live as independently as possible.  Staff will help you prioritize and create a plan to address your needs.

Transition – Whether you are a graduating student who wants advice on transitioning to the adult world or you live in an institutional setting and would like help moving back to the community, Delta Center can provide you the coaching and support to maximize your success.
